How we keep Camster.chat safe

Your video and audio stream directly between you and your partner. The one exception is a short clip kept only if you are reported.

Camster.chat is strictly for people aged 18 and over. Anyone we suspect of being underage is removed.

Uncomfortable for any reason? Press Next to leave immediately and meet someone else, or Stop to end chatting.
Your privacy
We collect as little as possible. The short version of what we do and do not keep:
- We do not record your chats. Video and audio are peer-to-peer; the only exception is the last ~60 seconds of your video if you are reported, kept for review and deleted within 30 days.
- Guests stay anonymous. You can chat with no account or email.
- Accounts store only the basics — your email, preferences, and whether you are Premium.
- Your location comes from your IP (you cannot set it yourself) and is used for matching and moderation.
Staying safe with strangers
- Keep personal details private — full name, address, workplace, financial details or passwords.
- Never send money to someone you just met, whatever the story.
- Be cautious with links from strangers, and don't move to another app at their request.
- Trust your instincts. If something feels off, press Next or Stop.
What is not allowed
The following are strictly prohibited and will get an account and IP banned:
- Nudity, sexual content, or any content involving minors.
- Harassment, hate speech, threats or bullying.
- Spam, advertising, scams or solicitation.
- Recording or sharing others without their consent.
- Any illegal activity.
How to report someone
If a partner breaks the rules, press the Report button in the chat. The report reaches our moderators with the details we need to act, and you are moved on to a new chat. Serious or illegal behaviour may be reported to the authorities.
Safety FAQ
Are my video chats recorded?
No, your conversations are not recorded. The only exception is that if someone reports you, the last ~60 seconds of your video is saved for review and deleted within 30 days.
What happens when I report someone?
The report is sent to our moderators and you are instantly matched with someone new. Rule breakers are banned by account and IP address.
Can banned users just come back?
We ban by IP address as well as by account, which makes it much harder for a banned user to return.
Is Camster.chat suitable for under-18s?
No. Camster.chat is an adults-only platform for people 18 and over, and we remove anyone we believe to be underage.
